Your wedding day is supposed to be right up there among the best days of your life so what if you want to do the whole thing on a vegan ticket?

Organising a wedding can be pretty stressful so add another set of must-haves into the mix and it might just push you over the edge. On the other hand, having a strict set of parameters to work within might actually make things simpler. Chicken or fish? No tough decisions to be made there.

Here in Australia there are plenty of vegan companies more than happy to help out with your big day, from caterers to photographers, cakes to favours, bridal wear to hair and make up. And of course the honeymoon. (Can we still call it a honeymoon?) And if you happen to be popping over to LA in the near future, you can get even more inspiration at the upcoming first ever vegan bridal fair.

Taking place on September 8 at the Tree House Bel Air, the Luxe and Kind Bride Bridal Boutique and Pop-Up vegan wedding fair has got all the bells and whistles to get you ready for your big day, the cruelty-free way.

This boutique vegan fair is brought to you by Daniela Degrassi founder of vegan wedding and online community The Kind Bride, and Laura Frecon founder of eco-luxury lifestyle platform and marketplace Verte Luxe who spotted that vegan weddings are becoming a fast rising global trend. (Worth noting that The Kind Bride has an Australian vegan wedding directory listing venues, catering companies and photographers. It’s not exactly a long list but it’s somewhere to start.)

So what can you expect at the bridal fair? All sorts of plant based wedding resources and professionals including vegan and eco-luxe bridal fashion and accessories, makeup, photographers, event planners. Specialist caterers will be there on the day to provide vegan food, wine and cocktail tasting.
We’ll report back as soon as we hear about something similar going on here at home.
