All you movie buffs out there, be on the lookout for the new Marvel movie in the making, the next instalment of the Thor franchise, Thor: Love and Thunder. Not only will Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson be returning to star in the film – feminist, vegan superstar Natalie Portman will play the role of Mighty Thor. The bombshell news surprised fans at the San Diego Comic-Con as Portman had played astrophysicist Jane Foster in the first two films and had not appeared in Thor: Ragnarok.

Portman shared the announcement on Instagram: “So thrilled to share the news with you today at #sdcc2019 that I’ll be returning to the @marvel #mcu as female Thor with legends @taikawaititi @tessamaethompson and @chrishemsworth. (Remember this as the before picture for when I get jacked).”

We have no doubt Portman will build some suitably awe-inspiring muscles on a vegan diet, following in the footsteps of Hemsworth, who also adopted a plant-based diet while training to play the role of Thor.

Thor: Love and Thunder is currently scheduled for release in November 2021.
