Karl Lagerfeld famously said, “you cannot fake chic, but you can be chic and fake fur.”
We are so down with that. And so is the amazing team behind Aussie fashion label Unreal Fur, whose mission it is to create beautiful, cruelty-free clothes. The label was launched in 2012 as an independent, PETA-certified Australian brand driven by a passion for animal welfare and a love of fashion (because the two really can co-exist peacefully and ethically).
In six short years, this label has garnered global acclaim, selling in over 20 countries across the world and is instrumental in leading the cruelty-free clothing zeitgeist.
Each collection is more beautiful than the next and includes the gamut of garments, from luxe faux fur jackets right through to beautiful bridal capes and stoles.
Every ethical item is meticulously designed and created, each jacket individually cut to ensure its texture and appearance is perfect and every item is both lush to look at and luxurious on the skin.
There’s an array of amazing colours and endless textures and patterns to choose from and every piece emulates the look and feel of real fur – but with a clear conscience. The entire collection each season is crafted by some of the world’s top furriers, who no longer work with fur, because they’ve realised, like us, that animals are not ours to wear.
