Fashion fact: you can never have too many bags: they’re a great way to add personality; they bring new life to an old outfit; and they’re handy for putting stuff in. So when a new Australian vegan brand launches a range of cruelty free bags, it’s worth taking notice.

Utoppii began when founder Trixie decided to hang up her corporate heels to pursue a passion for design. One year on and she has just launched her first collection of bags, designed to support modern life, with functionality and style.

But Utoppii wants to do more than just create great bags. Its aims to build a positive community of like-minded women, bringing joy and positivity via the Giving Back program. This initiative identifies and highlights amazing organisations created and run by inspiring women, who are making a difference in the world. For every bag purchased a percentage of the profits goes towards supporting these organisations. First on the list is the School for Life in Uganda, run by NSW social entrepreneur Annabelle Chauncy.

The name Utoppii was inspired by the word Utopia, meaning “perfect existence”. A big call, maybe, but with big plans to match.
