When craving a sweet treat, vegans often need to consult Google recipes and bake them ourselves. But those days are officially over with the launch of Byron Bay Cookie Company’s delicious Maple & Pecan Vegan cookie (which also happens to be gluten free). Crammed with pecans, walnuts, cranberries and chia seeds, the cookie is enhanced with a natural maple flavour and tastes (yes, we’ve tried it), every bit as good as it sounds.

“We’ve been working on a vegan recipe for quite some time now,” says Emilie Emond from the Byron Bay Cookie Co. “We’re beyond excited to see this new flavour hit the market. We are also delighted to be working with talented illustrator Chloe Joyce to help bring our packaging vision to life.”

From humble beginnings back in 1990 to its position today as Australia’s leading producer of gourmet cookies, biscuits and crispbreads, it was only matter of time until a vegan cookie was part of Byron Bay Cookie Company’s offering. It may have taken almost 30 years, but we’re not complaining – this delicious cookie has quickly become a daily indulgence in the TVC office.

The 60g vegan cookie is available in selected cafes nationwide and online at cookie.com.au (RRP $4.50 per cookie or $48 for a box of 12).
